"Why aren’t you spending more money?"
This is the question that turned a $200K/year brand into a $200K/month powerhouse.
The brand was led by a bootstrapped founder and they had a solid product, but the results just weren’t there.
Don’t get me wrong, they were turning a profit, but it definitely didn’t look like they were reaching their potential.
Their previous agency had been playing it way too safe.
We asked the question, ‘Why aren’t you spending more money?’
Their reply was, ‘We didn’t know we could.’
That told me all I needed to know.
I dug into their accounts and saw how they were operating off of purely blended MER; there was nothing engineered to capture new customers.
They had low ad spend, 6 campaigns with no outreach, and growth slower than the S&P.
We dropped to 3 campaigns and optimised them for three specific purposes - testing new creative, audience retention, and customer acquisition.
This alone brought us great results, but we were merely fixing mistakes that should’ve never been made in the first place.
